About the F/V Patriot
Our safe and seaworthy workhorse
The 'Patriot' is a 30' Armstrong monohull designed and built in Port Angeles, WA. She is powered by 300 Yamaha outboards and cruises at 24 kts to get you to the fishing grounds safe and quickly. It is heavier and more stable than most aluminum boats of her size and handles our Alaskan weather with confidence. Captain Drew has captained the Patriot for 9 seasons, and knows her inside and out.

The Patriot is equipped with an electric flushing marine toilet, a comfortable interior, and two diesel heaters to keep you dry and warm on those colder days. Below deck fishholds give us lots of room to move and fish on the back deck, and an electric anchor winch keeps us on the fish when we need to be.

We go above and beyond when it comes to safety. We are fully equipped with the USCG required lifesaving equipment, but also have an EPIRB distress locating beacon, life raft, and satellite text unit. Captain Drew holds his USCG 100T Captain's license, along with Able Seaman Special rating.

Our Story
Captain Drew moved to Alaska in 2012 to chase adventure that brings so many up from the Lower 48. Originally from South Carolina, he moved to Homer in pursuit of the freedom Alaska provides, and definitely on the hunt for some world class fishing. He earned his captain's license in 2015 after a few years deckhanding and has completed 10 seasons as a captain running fishing and hunting trips in waters stretching from Homer to Kodiak to far out on the Alaska Peninsula.
Capt. Drew lives in Anchor Point with his wife and 2 kids year-round, and can be found salt and freshwater fishing, hunting, playing with his dogs, and planning adventures.
