Full Day Halibut

Our Halibut only full day trips are your option if you are the type that wants to maximize your time targeting the bottomfish that made our town famous!

With this trip, we will put all of our effort and time into putting you on quality halibut! Halibut catch averages 14lbs across southcentral AK, but 25-70lb fish are caught frequently.  We want YOU to have the best chance at catching great fish.

 

This trip is great for the beginner and expert alike and gives us the greatest flexibility on keeping to calmer seas and shorter travel time.   The weather and tides will dictate where we fish, but common areas include the Cook Inlet, Chugagh Islands, and the Barren Islands.

Typically we mix in both anchoring and drifting techniques with bait and jigs.   Since we use circle hooks, we are able to release fish if you'd like.

2024 regulations*:

2 halibut per person, per day

 - 1 may be any size, 1 must be under 28" in length

 - No halibut fishing on Wednesdays

*2025 regulations will be released in February
